Food Problems

I don't know about you but growing up in a house full of six kids dinner time was always a hassle. There was the picky eater, the over eater, and the "sweets" eater. If you are having food problems with your kids you are not alone.

Here are a few tips to make your dinnertime more enjoyable:
Tip #1- No feeding between meals. If the child wants a snack, it should be as regular and predictable as meals are.
Tip #2- No eating in front of the television or computers.
Tip #3- Let the answering machine get phone messages during meals; these are times for the family to be together without being interruption.
Tip #4- Each child is given a smaller amount of each item than she may want; she can always ask for a second helping.
Tip #5- If a child has strong feelings about a few items, these can be eliminated, but make no substitutions, because they open the doors to struggles.

What has worked for you and your kids? Please share any advice or tips that you may have!
