As new parents, everything has to be right. The right
stroller, car seat, diaper bag, etc. When it comes to the nursery especially,
you want it to be perfect. Did you know that the color of the nursery has an
affect on your new baby? It may be hard to choose a color for your little one,
but maybe knowing about how the color will affect your infant will change your
mind!
Red- Passion, Excitement, Emotional
Red is a bold color that is that will definitely
stand out. In a nursery, use red as an accent color and avoid red wall to wall.
Red may invoke volatile personality traits.

Orange is a color of comfort. Orange brings out
friendliness and promotes a welcoming feeling. Use dark orange for a comforting
atmosphere or a bright orange for a more modern look.

Yellow is a bright, sunny, happy color but too
much bright yellow can agitate a baby. Small accents of yellow can promote
concentration and emotive thoughts.
Green- Calming, Refreshing, Nurturing

promotes calmness, thinking, and concentration. It is also very natural and calming. Green can be a great color in decorating because it is so prevalent in nature.
Blue- Healing, Subtle
Blue may be calming but take caution with the
shade. Gray-blues can lean toward sadness. Productivity is associated with the
color blue, but should not be used around food. If you have a fussy eater on your
hands, avoid blue plates! Use warm or bright blues. Blue can be cooling which
is good for a baby who may get warm easily.
Pink- Romantic, Loving, Feminine

As we all know, little girls love pink! It’s the
universal color of all things girly. Pink is very calming especially with
children who are likely to throw tantrums or fits. Pink is a great color if you
want your little one to feel like a princess!
